Most reining fans consider the hospitality shown at the National Reining Breeders Classic to be top-notch. But none of it would be possible without the support of sponsors like Joao Marcos of Cardinal Ranch who is returning to the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas, to present the Hospitality Patio.

The gazebo-style, Cardinal Ranch Hospitality Patio is conveniently located near the front of the concession stand during the 25th Anniversary NRBC slated for April 17-24, 2022. It provides exhibitors a welcome oasis away from the hustle and bustle of horse showing to sit and enjoy a meal, talk business with an associate, or catch up with a friend.

NRBC Secretary-Treasurer Cheryl Cody said, “We appreciate Joao’s continuing support. He is completely dedicated to reiners and the reining industry around the world and we are always honored to have him be part of the NRBC family.”

Marcos recognizes the importance of hospitality. He said, “I am extremely happy to sponsor the hospitality area for the NRBC’s 25th anniversary. I love to help any way I can and especially love sponsoring an area where people can visit about the greatest sport in the world.”

Marcos started Cardinal Ranch with a dream to become one of the biggest breeders in the country. It represents an array of the industry’s leading sires, including Custom Made Gun, Dun It For Whizkey, Ebony Trashya, Fuel N Shine, Gunna Be A Big Hit, Masked Gun, Memorable Revolution, Phantom Face, Whitey N Hollywood, and Yellow Jersey.

The broodmare band is unparalleled and was home to NRHA Hall of Fame Mare and Million Dollar Dam Dun It For Chex until her passing. She produced more than 20 foals with NRHA Earnings in her lifetime – two of which earned more than $100,000 in competition.

Based in Aubrey, Texas, Cardinal Ranch stands on over 200 acres of green pasture and offers the largest private covered arena in the world, 200+ stalls, and a state-of-the-art breeding operation with a full-time veterinarian. With an exceptional stallion lineup, they are able to raise, breed and train elite reining prospects. Cardinal Ranch exemplifies international ties developing throughout the reining industry and serves as the home to multiple proven NRHA trainers and competitors.
